కానీ… కాలం హృదయం లేనిది: అలరించిన ప్రతి వసంతాన్నీ అలవోకగా సాగనంపుతుంది!

వీడ్కోలుగా ఆకాశం రెండు కన్నీటి చుక్కలు విడుస్తుంది,
కాలం మరో వసంతానికై పరుగు తీస్తూ పోతుంది!

అయినా ఎన్ని వసంతాలు రాలేదూ…

అయినా నీ రెండు కళ్ళూ… ఎందుకో, తడి జాడల్నేతడుముతూ ఉంటాయ్!
జీవితపుటెడారుల్లో జ్ఞాపకాల ఇసుక రేణువుల్ని వెదుకుతాయ్…

మరణాన్ని సమాధి చేసి, మర్త్యత్వపు సరిహద్దుల ఆవల… అవధుల్లేని జీవప్రవాహంగా…
నిరంతరం ప్రవహిస్తూ ఉంటాయ్!

అయినా బుధ్ధి మనసుని ప్రతిఘటించింది,
మనస్పూర్తిగా ప్రతిఘటించిందా? సందేహమే?

నిగ్రహం ఆవేశంతో తలపడే కొన్ని క్షణాల్లో…

1. మొదట టెర్మినల్ తెరిచి sudo apt-get install scim scim-m17n scim-gtk2-immodule అని టైప్ చేసి Enter కొట్టండి.
2. sudo కి మీపాస్‍వర్డ్ చెప్పండి. అప్పుడు apt ఆ ప్యాకేజిల సైజ్ చూపించి ఇన్‌స్టాల్ చెయ్యాలా వద్దా అని అడుగుతుంది. “Y” ఎంటర్ చేసి దానిని పనిచూస్కొమ్మనండి.
3. కనెక్షన్ స్పీడ్ ని బట్టి ఐదు నిమిషాల్నుంచి అరగంటలోపు SCIM మీ కంప్యూటర్ లో సెటిలవుతుంది. ఇప్పుడు దాన్ని పనిచే యించడమే తరువాయి.

ఆ) SCIM ని చలనశీలము (Activate)చేయుట

• టెర్మినల్ లో మీరున్న చోటే im-switch -s scim అని టైప్ చేసి Enter నొక్కండి. ఇంకొక్క పని మాత్రం మిగిలింది: SCIM ని మీకు కావల్సినట్టు శ్రుతి చేసుకోవటం.

ఇ) SCIM ని శృతి చేయుట:‌ 

• Alt-F2 కలిపి నొక్కితే, Run Dialog Box వస్తుంది. అందులో scim-setup అని టైప్ చేసి Enter కొడితే చిత్రంలో ఉన్న dialog వస్తుంది.

అందులో కనిపిస్తున్నట్టుగా, IMEngine లో Global Setup పై క్లిక్ చేసి కుడి వైపు మీకు వచ్చిన/నచ్చిన అన్ని భాషల్నీ వాటిలో మీరు టైప్ చెయ్యగల్గిన keyboard layouts నీ‌ఎంచుకుని OK కొట్టండి.

ఇక చెలరేగిపోండి. ఆంగ్లేతర భాషలో రాయాలనిపించిన ప్రతిసారీ, కుడి వైపు మూలన కనిపిస్తున్న చిట్టా లోంచి ఒక input method ని ఎంచుకుని రాసిపడెయ్యండి.

హెచ్చరికతో కూడిన గమనిక:‌ నా Linux Mint 11 లో ఈ పధ్ధతి పని చేసింది. ఇతర Ubuntu ఆధారిత distro ల్లో కూడా పని చేస్తుందని అనుకుంటున్నాను.ఒక వేళ పని చేయకపోతే… రావు గారూ… నన్ను ఇన్‌వాల్వ్ చెయ్యకండి.

మనవి:‌ ఈ పధ్ధతి మీ డిస్ట్రో లో పని చేస్తే వ్యాఖ్యానాల్లో తెలియజేయండి.

1. Centripetal force is the cause of change in direction (and hence motion in a circle).
   Centrifugal force is an effect of that change in direction (we called it inertia of direction in class 8th)
2. Centripetal force is a real force (there is a pull, push, attraction, repulsion by some agent).
   Centrifugal force is fictitious (show me who is doing the pushing etc.?)
3. Centripetal force acts radially inwards (towards the center of curvature).
   Centrifugal force acts radially outwards (towards the curvature, from the center)
4. Centripetal force exists in both inertial and non-inertial frames of reference.
   Centrifugal appears only in a rotating frame (a special non-inertial frame) of reference. 
5. At any given instant, both centripetal and centrifugal forces have the same magnitude given by the formula F = mv2/r = mrw2. 
6. The magnitude of the two forces remains unchanged in a uniform circular motion.
7. The two forces do not form an action-reaction pair. Their magnitudes are equal and directions are opposite, but they act on the same body. Also, the centrifugal force disappears as soon as the observer shifts into an inertial frame of reference.

$screen          launches shell #0 in the terminal.

Let’s run an application here to mark this shell, say irssi.

^a c          launches shell #1 in the terminal.

In this shell let’s run the w3m browser: w3m google.com

^a c          launches shell #2 in the terminal.

Here, I run a ping: ping yahoo.com

^a c         launches shell #3 in the terminal.

Here we ‘ll do a simple file listing: ls -l

Another ^a c will launch shell #4, yet another will launch shell #5 and so on.

Now we can cycle through the open shells with ^a [SPACE], or go to a numbered shell with ^a num.

We can also give names to shells:

First go to shell #0: ^a 0.

Now give it a name: ^a A       Type chat when it asks for a name.

Similarly assign names to shells 1, 2 and 3, say browser, ping and listing respectively.

Now do ^a “ to see a list of open shells, and move up and down between them with k and j respectively.

You can even detach the entire screen (with all its shells) from the terminal. Just do ^a d. Now type exit and logout of the terminal. The terminal is gone, but the programs are still running inside screen. Fire another terminal and type screen -r to reattach the screen with all its shells and programs intact. Shells inside a screen are terminated by the regular command exit.

And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

The setup is fairly intuitive:

1. Sign up for a box.net account.
2. Get widget code by uploading a file. Choose “Advanced” for the widget’s “Type” attribute if you want to configure the it beyond colors and dimensions.
3. Login to your WordPress blog and go to Design -> Widgets. Add the widget named “Box.net file sharing“. Choose a different theme from Design -> Themes if your current theme is not compatible with the widget.
4. Click Save Changes first, and then click Edit, on the newly added widget box.
5. Now copy and paste the widget-code over the existing code-snippet. Set proper size (width: 190 and height: 260, for a normal sidebar) for your widget before saving changes again.
6. Now visit your blog and configure the widget to your liking.
7. The code can be embedded into any blog, not just Blogger and WordPress. Box.net provides a one click mechanism to embed the code into Blogger and WordPress.

cd    /media/cdrom    &&    find    -type    f    >    disk2

will create a text file disk2 listing all the normal files in the CD one per line. We repeat this with all the disks in the cabinet, say disk3, disk4, disk5… diskXYZ. Now we ‘ll create .disks directory in our home and move the disk files into it:

mkdir    ~/.disks    &&    mv    disk*    ~/.disks

Henceforth we can use grep to search through .disks for filenames:

cd    ~/.disks    &&    grep    -i    abiword\*.deb    *

This will list the name of each disk (like disk25) containing abiwordxyz.deb, and full path to the respective file. Now it’s as simple as popping disk25 into the drive and doing a

sudo    dpkg    -i    /full/path/to/abiwordxyz.deb

to install abiword.

Note: Don’t forget to label the disks with a marker.
